Our Parent Participation Policy
At Monarch Community School families and staff participate together in the developmentally appropriate educational process, empowering them to be able to enjoy the "whole child" learning approach where academic, social, physical and emotional growth are equally important, interrelated and acknowledged. How to apply:
1. Attend a Prospective Family Information Meeting

January 25, 6:30-8:00pm, in person

January 29, 6:30-8:00pm, in person

2. Schedule & Attend a Classroom Observation and tour

Tours are scheduled at the Prospect Family Information Meetings

3. Complete the Intradistrict Transfer Request Form and sign Monarch Community School Family Participation Agreement (FPA) / Acuerdo de la Participacón de Families.

4. Register Online and create your Parent Portal here.
​
5. Bring your Intradistrict Transfer Request Form and Family Participation Agreement and the following documents to your neighborhood school site front office:

Copy of Immunization Records (required immunizations listed here)

Verification of Age (birth record, birth certificate, baptism certificate, passport or affidavit of the parent, guardian or custodian of the minor)

Proof of Residence (PG&E or water bill)

Submit all documents within the Open Enrollment Period: February 18 - March 8, 2024. Applications will be accepted until 5:00pm.
Enrollment in Monarch Community School is determined by a lottery. All families who complete the above steps by the deadline will be entered into the lottery. Families will receive offers for enrollment from the Office of Student Services shortly after the close of the Open Enrollment window.
